Hunter Derby: Carafino

Carafino in the Hunter Derby at Windgate's HJA International Hunter Classic.

The young mare was alert, ears perked she looked around her surroundings. There were so many unfamiliar horses surrounding her, and even more spectators and competitors amongst them. She could see tents flapping in the distance and hear so many noises coming from all directions. Her ears flopped back towards her rider as she felt her reach down and pat her neck. "Ready, girls?" Tom asked, taking a hold of Carafino's bit and urging her forward towards the in gate. Charlotte nodded and gathered her reins, closing her leg she encouraged Carafino forward. "Go get 'em, princess!" Tom said smiling up at his daughter and patting Carafino's rump as the two proceded through the in gate.
